On May 12, Xiaomi officially opened Beta recruitment for its cutting-edge HyperOS 2 system on 9 powerful devices, including the REDMI K80 / K80 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 7 / 7 Pro, and the much-anticipated MIX Fold 4.
Eligible Models for the HyperOS Beta:

This exclusive Beta program is designed for a limited group of users to test new features and provide real-world feedback. Keep in mind, there’s no fixed release date—rollouts are based on project progress and internal evaluations.
According to Wang Le, Director of Xiaomi’s Application Software Department, only approved applicants will receive the Beta upgrade. He emphasized: “Beta is not a benefit, it’s a development stage focused on refinement and stability ahead of the official release.”
What’s New in HyperOS 2?
Launched last October, HyperOS 2 features a self-developed micro-architecture scheduler and full Apple ecosystem support (via the “Xiaomi Internet Service” for seamless file and photo transfers). It also introduces powerful AI tools like:
- Super Xiao Ai assistant
- Cinematic-style lock screens
- AI-generated wallpapers
- Smart memos with voice-to-text, translation, and more
